From Easy Breeze Gardens catalog, 1953: MOHRESQUE (Keith '50) 38". One of the finest novelties on the market today, and at a modest price! The standards are a tannish-brown, falls yellowish-buff at the edges, deepening to near chartreuse at hafts. A most exotic effect is achieved by an allover flecking of purple on the falls. From Doxa x Zwannenburg, it will set some seeds. Very large flowers, a real crowd stopper and I recommend it with all the enthusiasm I can muster. $2.50 |
From The Court Of Iris catalog, 1955: MOHRESQUE (Keith '50) EM 38" (Doxa X Zwanenburg)From two low growing plants has come this tall variety with which we were quite impressed. The quarter Susiana blood is evidenced in both shape and coloring. The light brown standards are 'Mohr' like and the falls shade from yellowish buff to olive-chartreuse at the hafts and are splashed and flecked with purple. Sets some seed. $2.00 |

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: MOHRESQUE (Keith 1950) E. M. 38 in. (Doxa x Zwanenberg). A Mohr hybrid in a different color range. The flowers are large, broad of petals and have a full flaring form. Standards are light clear brown and the falls are yellow buff deepening to chctrtreuse at the hafts and have an allover flecking of purple. 1.50. |
