1952, Muhlestein

'Mohr Velvet' (Tell Muhlestein, R. 1952) EC, 38" (97 cm). Midseason late bloom. TB-onco. Color Class-Y1. Yellow self, medium. ( 'Elmohr' x D. Hall flamingo-pink seedling) x (seedling 45-41D: sister to 'Salmon Shell'). Tell 1952.

Also listed in TB web. 'Mohr Velvet'.

NOTE: This iris has not been accepted as an arilbred by the Aril Society International because it does not exhibit the aril characteristics necessary for ASI acceptance.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: MOHR VELVET (Muhlestein 1952) M. L. 38 in. (Elmohr x Hall pink) x Sib. to Salmon Shell. A very large flower of tailored form done in a smooth medium yellow. Very velvety finish . Should be a fine parent. 2.00.
