1970 Tate

'Jahmeelah' OGB+ (Harry Tate, R. 1970). Seedling 65-5-B. AB, 21" (53 cm). Early bloom. Standards bluish shade of pastel lavender, veined maroon; Falls pastel lavender, veined and dotted maroon; dark maroon black signal; brown tipped amber beard; style arms slightly darker than falls, flushed maroon and veined on crests. Kerr-55-0: ( I. nazarena x ( I. susiana x Austin W183. parentage unknown)) X 'Sayyed Yarmuk'. 1970. Honorable Mention 1974.

From AIS Bulletin #197 April 1970 Introducing JAHMEELAH· (H. Tate '70), 3/4 AB. 21" early. Sib to Sanhedrin. Approximates the appearance of many regeliocyclus hybrids. The flower is a shade of pastel lavender, veined and dotted maroon; dark maroon signal; stylearms nearly hide the wide beard. EC '67. $20.00 each, net. Sierra Vista Iris Garden.
