'Genetic Leader' ( Henry Danielson, R. 1971). Seedling F-68-2. Regeliabred; AB (1/2), 30" (76 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Standards bright brown; Falls brown; brilliant, velvety violet center veined bright purple; blue purple beard. 'Esther Fay' X 'Vulcanus'. Mount Clare Iris Gardens, 1972. Honorable Mention 1973.

From AIS Bulletin #204 January 1972 Introducing GENETIC LEADER. Arilbred. 30". E-M. Sdlg. F-68-2. Standards bright brown; falls brown, brilliant velvety violet center, veined bright purple. Falls have a tan border around the outside edge. Purple-blue beard like Vulcanis. The breeding of Vulcanis is from Stolonifera and Korolkowii. A fast grower and does not go dormant at any time. Has no pollen but sets seed very easily. Esther Fay X Vulcanis. $20.00. Mount Clare Iris Gardens.
