1975, Nichols

'Byzantine Beauty' OGB-/ABM (Hooker Nichols, R. 1975). Seedling 2200A. AB-MED, 18" (46 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Standards bronze with touch of maroon at midrib base; falls brown, washed a blend of maroon red violet; blue beard tipped bronze. 'Shine Boy' X seedling 68-102: ('Beisan Aga' x 'Kalifa Gulnare'). Nichols, 1977. Honorable Mention 1978; William Mohr Award 1981.
